Mykola Tomenko: Adopting the Budget for 2010, it is necessary to implement the Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine concerning Reduction of Wages of the Public Authority Officials
After the public discussion of the state Budget for the year 2010, the Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine characterized it as such that deserves highest appreciation.
"It envisages three main ideas: first of all economy renewing, secondly, support of the territorial community and assistance to the most unprotected population", - M. Tomenko has emphasised.
M. Tomenko deems that during the adoption of the state budget for the year2010, the Verkhovna Rada should realize the Resolution "On Amendments regarding the improvement of separate cases of State Budget of Ukraine", envisaging the ordering of the salaries for the leading personnel of the state power through the decrease in its maximal rate in two times.
Still, M. Tomenko declared that only Government has lessened wages and approximately in on 20 per cent the wages for the state officials is reduced.
Mykola Tomenko deems that it would be fair from the 1st January 2010 implement the Resolution in its entirety:
- to reduce in two times the maximum rate of wages for president's Secretariate, National Defensive Security Council, leaders of other central bodies of the executive power etc;
-order the salaries of the National Bank workers, corresponding institutions and organizations envisaging reduce of the maximum salary rate in two times etc.
"Such decision would give the opportunity to support the country and its underprivileged population during the difficult period of social-economic crisis",- M. Tomenko declared.
